Tasting Notes
Aromas of ruby grapefruit and other ripe citrus on the nose reveal flavours of green apple, peach and subtle spice notes and an elegant long finish.
Vineyard Notes
The fruit is from Unsworth Vineyard and Wescott Vineyard.
Production Notes
Sauvignette has large loose clusters of medium sized berries. It is pleasant to farm and with smaller leaves it grows an open canopy. It is generally picked mid harvest and whole cluster pressed to neutral French oak barriques for fermentation and aging.
Food Pairing Notes
Sauvignette proves fun to pair with a variety of food. It is a great sushi wine but can lighten up the richness of cassoulet. Sauvignette and All Dressed chips is also the real deal.
